Fourth graders’ PINK Lemonade Stand Donations Benefit Cause
Nassau County Legislator Judi Bosworth (D-Great Neck) commended Ms. Meisel’s 4th grade class at Lakeville Elementary School on October 21, 2010 as they helped support the fight against breast cancer. The students partnered with the Young Survival Coalition and featured a PINK lemonade stand on the playground during recess to help raise awareness and collect donations to help fight the deadly disease.
“The wonderful students of Ms. Meisel’s 4th grade class are committed to helping others. It is commendable that the school is providing information to help raise awareness about a disease that sadly affects so many women,” Legislator Bosworth said. “The children worked very hard to ensure that the PINK lemonade stand was a success. I was happy to visit with them and support their efforts.”
