Legislator Bosworth Honors Korean American Achievements and Contributions
Nassau County Legislator Judi Bosworth (D-Great Neck), vice chairperson of the Legislature’s Minority Affairs Committee, was proud to participate in the County’s recent, first annual Korean American Day. Sponsored by the Nassau County Office of Minority Affairs and the Korean American Public Affairs Committee, the festive celebration included a special recognition of the myriad contributions made by Korean Americans in the United States.
Legislator Bosworth welcomed special guest, Kyungkeun Kim, the Consul General of the Republic of Korea, and said “The Korean American community has had such a positive impact on the 10th Legislative District. Their commitment to education, the arts, business, science and government adds to the cultural richness of our community. I am proud to have been part of the first of what I hope will be many events honoring the contributions of Korean Americans.”
