Legislator Wink Honors Jean-Marie Posner as a 2009 Nassau County Woman Trailblazer
Legislator Wayne Wink (D-Roslyn) was pleased to honor Jean-Marie Posner in celebration of Women’s History Month as part of the Nassau County 11th Annual Trailblazers Awards. The award which celebrates women and their achievements was made on March 23, 2009 prior to the regular session.
Legislator Wink noted that Jean-Marie is presently a member of the Port Washington Board of Education, having served as chair of the Advisory Audit Committee and the Budget & Facilities Committee. She also serves as the President of the Port Washington Senior Center. She is a founding member and Treasurer of the Friends of Sands Point Preserve, and the Treasurer of the Art Guild of Port Washington. Jean- Marie also volunteers for North Shore Child and Family guidance and the League of Women Voters. She is the mother of Haley and is married to Steve Posner. “Jean -Marie is a dynamic woman who has dedicated an enormous amount of her time to better her community,” said Legislator Wink. “She is a natural choice for this honor.”
Legislator Wink presented Jean -Marie with a plaque and a bouquet of flowers.
