Legislator Wink Encourages Residents to Attend Mortgage Foreclosure Consultation Clinic

Legislature Wayne Wink (D-Roslyn) encourages people facing foreclosure to attend the free mortgage foreclosure consultation clinic at the Nassau County Bar Association, 15th and West Streets, Mineola, on Thursday, Nov. 12 from 4 to 6 p.m. Attorneys will offer one-on-one guidance, advice, and direction for homeowners facing foreclosure. Also, housing counselors from Nassau County Homeownership Center, representatives from Nassau Suffolk Law Services (you may qualify for free legal assistance), and a bankruptcy attorney will be on hand to answer all questions. Bring your mortgage documents to the consultation.

“This free consultation may provide information homeowners need to avoid making mistakes when faced with the complicated foreclosure process,” Legislator Wink said. “When you are in this position, emotions may get the best of you. I encourage homeowners to attend this clinic and take advantage of the guidance being offered from the professionals.”
