Legislator Wink: “Finally a VA Clinic at NUMC”

Members of the Nassau County Legislature voted unanimously at a recent meeting to approve a lease agreement that will end a decades-long quest to have a local, accessible Veterans’ Administration clinic in Nassau County. The new, 11,000 square foot clinic will be located in Building Q at the Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) with a grand opening expected in February.

Nassau County Legislator Wayne Wink (D-Roslyn), said, “Although this has been a long time coming, I am happy that veterans will now have a state of the art healthcare facility to take care of their medical needs. The central location at Nassau University Medical Center makes quality care easily accessible to them instead of traveling all the way to Northport.”
