Legislator Mejias Answers Plainview-Old Bethpage Seventh Graders Questions at Career Day

Nassau County Legislator Dave Mejias enjoyed speaking to middle school students at the Career Café. Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School invited him once again to speak to seventh graders about his job as a legislator and the career path he pursued to achieve the elected position.

"Sharing my story with middle school students at Career Day may inspire them to have the courage to follow their dreams," Legislator Mejias said. "I overcame many obstacles to get where I am today, a career path that I hope will provide encouragement. Serving as a legislator is a multifaceted job, one that I enjoy sharing with students to help them better understand how government works."
