The Nassau County District Attorney’s office will present an informative and dynamic program called “Not My Child”. This powerful program will educate our community about the recent rash of heroin and other drug activity along the South Shore of Long Island. This is a growing problem in our community. The Nassau County District Attorney will be present to talk about the problem and to answer your questions. Parents are encouraged to bring their teens. Please make an effort to attend this important event.
"CHOICES & CONSEQUENCES"
Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009 from 7:00 - 8:30PM
Levittown Memorial High School - 150 Abbey Ln., Levittown
Traffic crashes are the number one cause of death for young people between the ages of 15 and 24. Nassau County Legislator Dennis Dunne invites you to attend the Choices and Consequences Program held by the Nassau County District Attorney bringing the message about driving safety to Nassau County’s High Schools. The Choices and Consequences program is an interactive high school presentation designed to combat drunk, drugged and reckless driving. The District Attorney’s goal is to reduce injuries and deaths in this most vulnerable age group.
The 90 minute program is based on a “reality TV” model that relies on real cases, real evidence and real people from cases to break through natural teenage invincibility to teach life-saving lessons. Please attend this informative, fun and potentially life-saving program.
As always, if you have questions on this or any topic, please contact Legislator Dunne’s office at 571-6215
