Legislator Jacobs Brings Playground Fun-ding to West Side School

Nassau County Legislator Judy Jacobs (D-Woodbury) recently had a playful morning with the wonderful and appreciative third grade students at the West Side School in Syosset. Legislator Jacobs, Superintendent of Cold Spring Harbor Schools Judith Wilanski, West Side Principal Lynn Herschlein and third grade teacher Mary Boratta celebrated the completion of the school playground that now includes a climbing apparatus, ropes, slides and a miniature zip line. Nassau County Community Revitalization Program funding, sought and secured by Legislator Jacobs, enabled the school district to complete the project. The playground is enjoyed by the students and children of the entire community.
