Legislator Mangano Swears In Bethpage’s First Junior League
On February 26, Legislator Edward P. Mangano swore in the first installation of Bethpage’s Chamber of Commerce Junior League. As members of the new Junior League, ten civically minded youths will have the opportunity to learn about local government, participate in civic matters and develop into future community leaders.
The Junior League’s first task is to assist in the beautification of Bethpage’s streets and sidewalks. The members will help to set up for outdoor events, such as carnivals, manage residents’ complaints about debris, and periodically clean up the village’s sidewalks and planters. The members of the first installation are: Steven Cotton, James Murphy, Justin Mayr, Mike Comerford, Jordan Mayr, James Westerberg, Conor Reilly, Alex Mangano, Joe Mastanduno and Sal Mangano.
“I am very excited to be a part of the installation of the very first Bethpage Junior League. These young members will learn how rewarding it is to participate in local community matters and help Bethpage continue to be a great place to live and raise a family,” said Legislator Mangano.
