Lifelong Learning Puts a Song in Your Heart

Nassau County Legislator Diane Yatauro (D-Glen Cove) visited the Glen Cove Senior Center recently to participate in the season finale of the center’s Lifelong Learning Center programs. “The Interesting Roots of the Great American Songbook with Dale Zurbrick” ended the eighth season of lectures, recitals, music and literature presentations that were very well received by our active seniors. With his inimitable talent and guidance, Dale Zurbrick led the Great American Songbook session which focused on the personal relationships between our great 20th Century tunesmiths including Berlin, Gershwin, Arlen, Carmichael, Ellington, Rodgers and Porter.
