Denenberg Addresses Getting Ready for Middle School Program

On March 7, 2011 Nassau County Legislator Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick) spoke at the Community Parent Center’s

“Getting Ready for Middle School” Program at Grand Avenue Middle School in Bellmore. The program was set up in order to

make the transition from elementary school to middle school easier for both students and their parents. The program addressed

the social, academic and emotional challenges students may face during the transition and provided them with positive information regarding their future academic and social success. It was held in a four session workshop series.
