The Seaford American Legion Edwin Welch Jr. Post 1132 held its annual Law and Order Night Awards which included additional honorees this year. In addition to honoring local Police Officers, Firefighters, and Emergency Ambulance Technicians as is customary for all American Legionnaires, Post 1132 gave awards to local citizens for the special contributions to Seaford. Legislator Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick) presented citations to all the honorees including Seaford Teacher of the Year, Marie Savage; Seaford Citizens of the Year William and Carla Powell and for Distinguished Service to the Community, the Hon. George A. Murphy.
