Legislator Denenberg Secures Funds for PUENTE Program at Archer Street School
Nassau County Legislator Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick) is pleased to announce his successful effort to secure grant funding for the PUENTE program at the Archer Street School in Freeport. The grant was made possible through Nassau County CASA (Coordinating Agency for Spanish Americans). PUENTE is a program is held monthly for the families of the school’s English Language Learners. It welcomes students’ families into the school and encourages them to partake in the educational process. Archer Street School has also established the Parent Resource Center to promote the home/school connection in the community.
