Hometown Hero Colleen Oggeri Honored for Lifesaving CPR

On March 4, 2011 Nassau County Legislator Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick) presented a citation to Colleen Oggeri for saving her father’s life. After shoveling snow, Doug Oggeri began having symptoms of a heart attack. His daughter, 18-year-old Colleen Oggeri, who learned CPR at the Merrick Police Athletic League, began CPR on her father while her mother called 911. Legislator Denenberg commended Colleen for her bravery and being able to stay so calm while using the skills she learned to save her fathers life.
