Legislator Denenberg Sees Learning STEMs from Girl Scout Cookies
Nassau County Legislator Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick) attended a recent Girl Scout event at Roosevelt Field which involved Samoas, Do-si-dos, Thin Mints and Tagalongs. No, it wasn’t a Girl Scout cookie sale, it was a building project known as STEM, (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
Girl Scout Troops from throughout Nassau County pooled their efforts to build a tower of cookies and break a record. The result was a Guinness Book of World Records-breaking cookie tower of over six feet. Legislator Denenberg commended the Girl Scouts for their steadfastness in completing the project which took 14 hours to complete. They all had one question at the end of the day….”Got Milk?”
