Literacy Nassau Harvest House Warming in Freeport
Nassau County Legislator Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick) attended the ribbon cutting ceremony and “harvest house warming” celebration
marking the official opening of Literacy Nassau’s new, permanent home, 187 Smith Street, in Freeport. In the new building,
there are large, welcoming spaces for students, staff, tutors, volunteers and community members to learn and visit. Legislator Denenberg congratulated the Literacy Nassau volunteers for being dedicated in the fulfillment of their mission to “open doors to opportunity and
success for adults in our communities who seek help with reading, writing or speaking English.” Legislator Denenberg is pictured with
