Homeownership and Foreclosure Seminar
Leg. Denenberg hosts a seminar on housing and foreclosure issues. Representatives from Nassau County’s Homeownership Center will provide counseling on first time home purchases, financial planning, healthy homeownership, mortgages, foreclosures and alternatives to foreclosure. Information will be provided on the Nassau County Payment Assistance Program, American Dream Down Payment Initiative and First Home Club which programs assist qualifying families with down payment and closing costs.

Leg. Denenberg brings Nassau County services to you. Representatives from Nassau County’s Departments of Social Services, Health, Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol, Physically Challenged, Senior Affairs, Veteran Services, Assessment and Consumer Affairs will provide information, offer assistance and answer questions.

Hurricane/Emergency Preparedness
The hurricane season is upon us. Discuss appropriate preparations, precautions, security, insurance and protection for your family, pets, home and possessions. Please join Leg. Denenberg for presentations on hurricane/emergency preparedness. Guest speakers include Mr. Gary Conte, Warning Coordination Meteorologist for NOAA National Weather Center; James Callahan from the Nassau County Office Emergency Management; Mr. Theodore Fisch, Regional Director of the New York State Emergency Management Office; Mr. Peter Reinharz, County Attorney’s Office; Mr. John Brooks, Nassau County Risk Management Office; and Ms. Nancy Lynch, President of Pet Safe Coalition. A question and answer session will follow.
