Denenberg Holds Absentee Ballot Drive for August 1st Referendum
In an effort to ensure that all Nassau County residents be heard in the upcoming August 1, 2011 Nassau Hub Redevelopment Referendum, Nassau County Legislator Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick) held a series of absentee ballot drives. The first week in August is one of the most traveled weeks of the year. With time running short vacationing residents must submit their absentee ballot applications soon. New York State law mandates that applications must either be personally delivered to Nassau County Board of Elections no later than the day before the election or postmarked by a governmental postal service no later than the 7th day before Election Day. July 25, 2011 is the mail-in deadline. Legislator Denenberg is pictured with his aide Dan Yngstrom, and his Summer Interns Pam Langro and Nick Calaebro during a recent drive.
