Denenberg Joins Historical Declaration of Independence Reading

The Historical Society of the Merricks kept is annual tribute to the birth of our nation by conducting a reading of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 2010. Legislator Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick) joined the members of the Historical Society, our community’s veterans and residents at the Merrick Train Station as the Declaration of Independence was read. Among the Merrick residents attending were Historical Society of the Merricks president, Lawrence Garfinkel; vice president Adrienne Garfinkel; treasurer Neil Yoeman; trustees Erin Donohue, Jerry Medowet, Paul Laurseu, Jay Pitti and Gladys Kruh the Deputy Commissioner of Veterans Affairs Patrick Yngstrom and Dan Yngstrom, Legislator Denenberg’s Legislative Assistant.
