Denenberg Joins Operation SPLASH Island Cleanup

Nassau County Legislator Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick) set sail recently for Operation SPLASH, an annual cleanup of the islands along Nassau County’s South Shore. He is pictured among the volunteers waiting for an assignment. Everyone in this 19th OpSPLASH donated their morning time to clean up the waterways of garbage, dock Styrofoam, tires, lumber and, last year, several coconuts.

Located in Freeport, Operation SPLASH is a grass roots all volunteer organization dedicated to improving life along our western bays.
