Legislator Denenberg at Brookside’s Getting Ready for Middle School

On March 9, 2011 Nassau County Legislator Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick) spoke at the Community Parent Center’s “Getting Ready for Middle School” Program at Brookside School in Merrick. The program was set up in order to make the transition from elementary school to middle school easier for both students and their parents. Legislator Denenberg addressed the social, academic and emotional challenges students may face during the transition and provided them with positive information regarding their future academic and social success.
