Legislator Denenberg Supports Seaford Historical Society

Nassau County Legislator Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick) joined the Seaford Historical Society to acknowledge a $20,000 grant that helped the Society secure the hotel/ motel tax funds. When someone stays at a Nassau County hotel or motel, the County portion of the tax goes to improve Nassau’s museums. This grant will allow the Seaford Historical Society to continue renovating the Seaford Museum which is located at 3980 Waverly Avenue, Seaford. Renovations will include a new heating/air conditioning system to replace the old hot water system, electrical and plumbing work, and new paint for the interior and exterior. The Museum is the 3rd school house in Seaford, and dates back to 1893 and is on the Town of Hempstead Landmark list. Legislator Denenberg is pictured with Seaford Historical Society members; Donna Ohlsen, Glenn Ohlsen, Carla Powell, Charlie Wroblewski, Lester Orlick and Vice President of the Seaford Historical Society Frank Allaire.
