Legislator Denenberg Supports Lions and “Purple Heart Pups”

On January 24, 2011 Nassau County Legislator Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick) attended the Merrick Lions Club’s

Purple Heart Pups fundraiser. The fundraiser was held at the Newbridge Road Ice Rink during a

Bulldogs Hockey game. The money raised was donated to groups that help train dogs for returning injured military personnel.

The Director of Nassau County’s Veterans Service Agency, Pat Yngstrom, was honored by the Purple Heart Pups for his work and dedication to all our veterans.
