Legislator Scannell Commends Baldwin School District, Winner of EPA Award

Nassau County Legislator Joe Scannell (D-Baldwin) congratulated the Baldwin School District and the Director of Facilities, Michael Sheehan, presenting County Citations for being awarded the Sustained Model of Excellence Award from the Environmental Protection Agency. The award was issued for superior air quality in the district’s schools. Baldwin is the only school district on Long Island to receive this prestigious award.

“I welcome this initiative from the EPA,” he said. “It’s another initiative to ensure parents that the Baldwin schools are a safe haven for our children. And I commend the Baldwin schools for their efforts.”
