Legislator Wink Attends Town of North Hempstead 911 Service

Nassau County Legislator Wayne Wink (D-Roslyn) remembered the fallen heroes of Sept. 11 at North Hempstead’s memorial service held at Clark Botanic Garden. The service included music performed by Danielle Reed, from the Multicultural Peace Mission Choir, the reading of a poem by Assemblywoman Michelle Shimel, and a gun salute by the Albertson VFW.

“The anniversary of September 11 continues to be a difficult day for so many people, one that all Americans will never forget,” Legislator Wink said. “I am grateful for the brave men and women who unselfishly came to the aid of others, many of whom lost their lives, and I believe it is important to honor those who perished on that horrific day.”
