Wink Brings Free Mammograms to Port Washington

Nassau County Legislator Wayne Wink (D-Roslyn) will be providing free digital mammograms for uninsured women who reside in Nassau County on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at the Port Washington Senior Center, 80 Manorhaven Blvd., Port Washington. The mammograms are available from 8:45 a.m. - noon. Women must be at least 40 years of age to qualify and appointments are required. Bring your photo ID, proof of Nassau County residency and copies of your prior films for comparison on the day of your screening appointment.

“It gives me great satisfaction to bring this state of the art cancer detection technology to my district twice a year,” Legislator Wink commented. “I encourage residents to have these potentially lifesaving exams on a regular basis. If you have not had a mammogram this year I urge you to make an appointment as soon as possible.”
