Rx Drop Helps to Safely Dispose of Old Medications

Nassau County Legislators Joseph Belesi and Dennis Dunne Sr., working alongside with the Nassau County Police Department, have joined together with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s nationwide “Take back Initiative” to help keep unused medications off the streets and out of the hands of our children.

The safe disposal of unused medications is also very helpful to protecting our environment and prevents pharmaceuticals from ending up in our waterways and drinking water.
