Legislator Mejias Hosts Foreclosure and Financial Literacy Workshop

Nassau County Legislator Dave Mejias (D-Farmingdale) hosted the Legislator Foreclosure & Financial Literacy Workshop recently at the Farmingdale Library offering advice from experts from the NY State Attorney General’s Office, Nassau County Office of Housing, and Sperry, a local financial institution from Farmingdale. They spoke about basic financial literacy, predatory lending and refinancing mortgages, and offered one on one counseling and programs for residents facing financial difficulty.
