Legislator Mejias Attends Run in Memory of Navy Seal Killed in Afghanistan

Nassau County Legislator Dave Mejias (D-Farmingdale), center, attended the New Island Hospital 5K Run at Bethpage State Park,

an annual run in memory of Michael Murphy, a Navy Seal killed in Afghanistan who was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.

He was joined by Dr. Paul Pellet; Dr. Aaron Glatt, President and Executive Chief Officer; Dr. Edward Gross, overall winner among the

New Island Hospital physicians; and Jack Howlett, chairman of the board of New Island Hospital.
