Long Island Philharmonic Performs at Lakeside Theatre on August 17
The Long Island Philharmonic will bring its artistry to the stage at Lakeside Theatre in Eisenhower Park on Friday, August 17, announced Nassau County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi. The free concert begins at 7:30 p.m.
Under the direction of Music Director and Conductor David Wiley, the Long Island Philharmonic will present “An American Salute – When Johnny Comes Marching Home,” “Concerto for Cello and Strings, Op. 85,” “Wizard of Oz Medley,” “Armed Forces Salute,” and other selections. The evening’s program will feature soloist Zuill Bailey on the cello.
The Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre is located near parking fields 6 and 6A . Special accommodations are available for disabled patrons, including reserved parking, easily accessible restrooms, and a convenient reserved location on the hill. Assistive hearing devices are available for the hearing impaired. There is no formal seating at Lakeside Theatre, so concert-goers are urged to bring folding chairs.
