North Shore Pops Appears at Lakeside Theatre June 26
The North Shore Pops Concert Band will perform a free concert at the Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre in Eisenhower Park on Thursday evening, June 26, at 7:30 p.m., announced Nassau County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi.
Founded in 1985, the North Shore Pops Concert Band regularly performs to enthusiastic audiences throughout the New York metropolitan area. Under the direction of Eric Albinder, the band will present a varied program on June 26, including patriotic and light classical pieces, as well as Broadway show music and tributes to Irving Berlin and Tony Bennett.
The Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre is located near parking fields 6 and 6A in Eisenhower Park. Special accommodations are available for disabled patrons, including reserved parking, easily accessible restrooms, and a convenient reserved location on the hill, and assistive hearing devices are available for the hearing impaired. There is no formal seating at Lakeside Theatre, so concertgoers are urged to bring folding chairs. Eisenhower Park is located in East Meadow with entrances on Hempstead Turnpike at East Meadow Avenue and at the intersection of Stewart and Merrick Avenues.
