Lakeside Theatre Presents "Salute to Veterans" on August 2
Eisenhower Park’s Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre will host the 21st annual "Salute to Veterans" program on Saturday, August 2, announced Nassau County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi. The free concert, which is dedicated to the spouses of active personnel, will begin at 6:45 p.m.with a ceremony honoring veterans and the traditional “Roll Call of the States.”
The show will start at 7:30 p.m.with a performance by the USO Troupe of Metropolitan New York followed by the Charisma Boys, Randy and the Rainbows, and Risky Business.
The Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre is located near parking fields 6 and 6A in Eisenhower Park. Special accommodations are available for disabled patrons, including reserved parking, easily accessible restrooms, and a convenient reserved location on the hill Assistive hearing devices are also available for the hearing impaired. There is no formal seating at Lakeside Theatre, so concert-goers are urged to bring folding chairs and/or blankets. Eisenhower Park is located in East Meadow with entrances on Hempstead Turnpike at East Meadow Avenue and at the intersection of Stewart and Merrick Avenues.
