Eisenhower Park Hosts TD Bank "Celebrate America" Fireworks and Show on June 27
Nassau County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi has announced the return of “Celebrate America,” TD Bank’s free holiday spectacular at the Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre in Eisenhower Park, on Saturday night, June 27. The fireworks display will be done by Long Island-based Fireworks by Grucci, one of the most prominent fireworks companies in the world. In addition, there will be a performance by Uppercut, the "Ultimate Horn-Powered Band."
“This is a fantastic opportunity for Long Island residents to enjoy a world-class fireworks display in a safe manner," says Suozzi. "I thank TD Bank for continuing this tradition of free family entertainment.”
“This is a spectacular fireworks program featuring a computer-generated script and choreography between the music and fireworks,” says Grucci producer Phillip Butler.
The theater area gates will open at 6:30 p.m., with the musical performance beginning at 7:40 p.m. and the fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are required for admission to the theater area, with the tickets available beginning June 17 at any TD Bank branch on Long Island, while supplies last. There is no formal seating, so visitors should bring blankets or chairs. Space is limited and overflow will be directed to other viewing and parking areas.
Eisenhower Park is located in East Meadow with entrances on Merrick Avenue and Hempstead Turnpike. Lakeside Theatre is near parking fields 6 and 6A. For more information, call Nassau County Parks at 516-572-0200 or the Special Events Line at 516-572-0223.
