Life Care Communities

Life Care Communities provide another type of living arrangement which includes ownership of an apartment, a meal plan and use of club-type facilities. If the health care needs of the independent person change, various levels of health care can be provided. Currently there are no Life Care Communities in Nassau County, however, the Amsterdam at Harborside in Port Washington is expected to open in 2009.
