NASSAU COUNTY EXECUTIVE THOMAS SUOZZI ANNOUNCES
FREE PROGRAMS DURING OCTOBER 2009 FOR ELMONT AREA SENIORS

(Including Franklin Square, Floral Park and West Hempstead)

Tuesday, November 10
2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Caregiver Support Group – For ALL caregivers.  This group is led by Sari Flesch, A.A., B.A., Nassau County Department of Senior Citizen Affairs at the Elmont Public Library, 700 Hempstead Turnpike, and provides an opportunity for participants to share experiences and help one another.  No one is alone!  Call 516 227-8945 for information.

Thursday, November 19
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon

Health Assessments are coordinated by the Nassau County Department of Senior Citizen Affairs at the Elmont Public Library, 700 Hempstead Turnpike.  June Friedel, RN, will help identify problems associated with blood pressure, weight control and medication monitoring and answer your health questions individually.  Coffee will be provided.

The Voice of Grandparents – Ongoing Support Group

Become a partner in an ongoing open discussion group at the Elmont Public Library, 700 Hempstead Turnpike.  The group is led by Sari Flesch, A.A., B.A., Nassau County Department of Senior Citizen Affairs.  Share with other grandparents.  You are not alone!  Coffee and cookies will be served.  ALL ARE WELCOME.  Call 227-8945 for information.
