The Data on Women Veterans

The estimated population of women veterans is 1.7 million, or about 7%. of the total veterans population. There are so many women in the military now that by 2010 the female veteran population will double to 14%. Currently, women make up 14.8% of the active duty forces and 22.8% of the reserve forces.

Fraud Warning

Veterans around the country are reporting that they are getting calls from a company identifying itself as the “Patient Care Group”. This company is claiming that VA prescriptions are now being dispensed through them and that if veterans want to continue receive their medications, they must provide a credit card number. DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER TO ANYONE WHO CALLS YOU. The VA has not changed the process of receiving and dispensing prescriptions.
