The Bureau of Minority Health provides health related programs, education, awareness, and outreach to the minority communities of Nassau County.  It is our goal to improve the health of the residents in these communities by collaborating with community partners and providing supportive health initiatives that can help to reduce health disparities. Our work includes:

• Health education in schools and broader community 
• Outreach at community events and fairs
• Healthy and active living events
• Free STD testing events 
• Farmer’s market and healthy recipes
• Annual Health, Sports, and Fitness Expo
