Nassau Hub Project: County Webpage

Redeveloping the acres of parking around NYCB Live: Home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, and putting the property on the tax rolls is essential to job creation and growing the tax base.

The County’s Economic Development and Planning teams are diligently working to support the County Executive’s vision for a transformational live-work-play district in the heart of the County.  A new Nassau Hub Innovation District would consist of housing, office and biotech research space, experiential retail, improved transit and walkable streets, open greenspace, and much more. In August of 2018, the current Coliseum tenant Nassau Events Center, LLC. (operated by BSE Global), announced their partnership with RXR Realty on a $1.5 billion plan that aligns with this vision. In December of 2018, a Second Lease Amendment and Development Plan Agreement were approved by the Nassau County Legislature.

To learn more about the development process, please view our presentations and project documents below.  In the coming weeks and months, the developers will be reaching out to local officials and community stakeholders to present the plan for the Nassau Hub. Stay tuned!
