Family Violence Assistance

Nassau County is committed to aiding survivors of domestic violence and supporting the organizations that help thousands of constituents every day. Below is a list of nonprofits in New York that provide emergency assistance and aid for all forms of family violence: domestic violence, child abuse, elder abuse, sexual assault and dating violence. Contact each organization for more information and to learn what resources and services are available to you. Interpreters for multiple languages are also available.

Womankind

Womenkind provides survivors of gender-based violence in Asian communities with critical resources that help them rise above trauma and build a path toward healing.

Women for Afghan Women (WAW) is a grassroots organization dedicated to protecting the rights of Muslim Americans, immigrants, refugees and disenfranchised Afghan women and girls in Afghanistan and New York.
