The Nassau County District Attorney’s Office offers internship programs for the fall and spring semesters, as well an eight-week program during the summer. All internships are voluntary / unpaid positions. Interns are assigned to assistant district attorneys in any of twelve major bureaus of the office.

The directors of the program endeavor to have each intern assigned to an area that is somewhat related to an intern’s interests. If possible, interns will assist the attorneys in preparing cases for trial, investigation, or appeal. At the end of the program, each intern is evaluated and if they are entering their third year of law school, they will be given an interview for a future position if that is their desire.

We are now accepting applications for our Spring 2017 Internship Program. All application materials must be received by Friday December 9, 2016.  For our Summer 2017 Internship Program, applications will be accepted from January 2, 2017 through February 24, 2017.
