Key Updates Regarding the Weather Event

  • The County has met the threshold for a Small Business Administration (SBA) declaration, and the final paperwork is currently in process.
  • SBA Disaster Loans provide low-interest loans to residents and small businesses.
  • Once the County is formally notified of the SBA Declaration award, information about how and where all residents and small businesses can apply will be available.
  • Updates are posted to our Nassau County OEM web page and social media platforms as new information is available. Please continue to check these locations for updates on the rain event from 9/29 to 9/30.
  • The Damage Self Report Tool has been removed from the county website.
  • Filling it out didn’t guarantee assistance; it helped demonstrate the impact sustained throughout the County.
