[ARCHIVED] MANGANO: LONG ISLAND COMIC CON ARRIVES IN GARDEN CITY

Mineola, NY – County Executive Edward P. Mangano announces that Long Island Comic Con will return to Nassau for the fourth consecutive year, on Friday, June 10th, Saturday, June 11th and Sunday, June 12th. Eternal Con 2016 will once again takeover three floors of the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City, with more than 300 tables of pop culture madness. Eternal Con brings together Comic Books, Collectibles, Gaming, Sci-Fi, Cosplay and Horror. Meet the original Power Rangers and many of your favorite Comic Book artists! The event runs from 7pm to 11pm, on Friday, 10am to 7pm on Saturday, June 11th and 10am to 5pm on Sunday, June 12th.

“I invite all residents to visit Eternal Con 2016 – the largest pop culture event of the summer!” said County Executive Mangano. “This special two and half-day event of fun and education offers the opportunity to get up close and personal with your favorite superhero’s and comic book stars.”

Eternal Con 2016 will kick off the weekend of events with its free, annual “cosplay” costume parade and contest, beginning at 9am on Saturday. Photos are available, with celebrities from Star Wars; WWE; X-Men; Gremlins; Twilight and The Last Starfighter; as well as with the original Power Rangers.

Admission for Eternal Con 2016 is $20 for adults and $10 for children (ages 2-12) on Friday night, $25 for adults and $12 for children on Saturday. On Sunday, admission is $20 for adults and $6 for children. Parking is free!
