(MINEOLA, N.Y.) - On Monday, Nov. 7, 2022, Nassau County Legislative committees unanimously passed key resolutions pertaining to the enactment of the Fiscal Year 2023 Capital Plan. Final approval by the full Nassau County Legislature could occur at the next scheduled meeting, which is set for Monday, Nov. 21 at this time.
Following Monday’s committee votes, Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Kevan M. Abrahams (D - Freeport) issued the following statement:
"By securing 16 new projects in the filed 2023 capital plan, the Minority Caucus has delivered on its steadfast commitment to making our roads safer and funding crucial resources for our law enforcement and first responders,” Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Kevan M. Abrahams (D - Freeport) said. “We are pleased to have reached an agreement with the administration that will advance an equitable and aggressive plan for enhancing the quality of life and safety of all Nassau County residents."
