(MINEOLA, N.Y.) - On Monday, Feb. 6, 2023, the Nassau County Legislature voted unanimously to approve an 8 ½-year collective bargaining agreement with the Nassau County Police Benevolent Association (PBA).
Following today’s action, Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Kevan M. Abrahams (D - Freeport) issued the following statement:
“This agreement strikes the right balance between fulfilling our steadfast commitment to supporting Nassau County’s law enforcement professionals and fiscally protecting Nassau taxpayers by managing the growth of budgetary costs in future years,” Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Kevan M. Abrahams (D - Freeport) said. “We are pleased that these negotiations were productive and thank President Shevlin and the PBA for their dedicated service to the people of Nassau County.”
