Lynbrook, NY—On April 17th, Nassau County Legislator Bill Gaylor presented a Community Revitalization Program check (CRP) to the Village of Lynbrook and their fire department for equipment that will keep firefighters safe, and allow them to do their job easier. The check, which was totaled to $75,000 of CRP money, was for $25,000 worth of tablets for firefighters and $50,000 for personal escape systems (PES). The Personal Escape Systems will allow firefighters to quickly exit a burning building in case of emergency. The tablets allow fire fighters to better keep track of information at scenes of fire and help with intake.
“Our men and women in red serve the village of Lynbrook and do anything they can to help save lives,” Legislator Bill Gaylor said. “This money will provide some necessary equipment that will make their jobs safer, and increase response time, and ability to communicate during emergencies. I am happy to help provide them these monies.”
