Legislator McKevitt to Host a Free Child Car Safety Inspection

TUESday, MAY 23, 2023  •  9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Eisenhower Park/Field #5 – Park Blvd., East Meadow

Did you know that 3 out of 4 child car seats are installed incorrectly? Nassau County Legislator Tom McKevitt is joining with the Nassau County Police Department to invite all parents, grandparents and caregivers to have their child car seats inspected for proper installation. Representatives from the Nassau County Traffic Safety Department will be on hand to inspect child car seats for proper installation and security.

We must do all we can to protect our children when on the road. The proper installation of a child’s car seat is critical to ensuring safety in a vehicle. Take this free opportunity to let a professional make sure your child seat is safely installed in your vehicle. To ensure proper inspection and installation, seats and surrounding area should be clean, wiped down and cleared of any loose items before you arrive.

Child car seats are required for children under the age of eight

Appointments are required to have your child car seat inspected for safety:
