WHAT - Nassau County Legislator Kevan Abrahams (D – Freeport) is partnering with Empire BlueCross BlueShield and other community partners to present the Family Fun & Fit Festival at Hempstead’s Kennedy Memorial Park on Saturday, May 20.
From 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., attendees will be able to enjoy an array of free fun outdoor activities and health services, including dental, blood pressure, and vision exams; face painting, a soccer clinic with the Hempstead Soccer Club; snacks, giveaways, raffles and more. While supplies last, there will also be a food distribution for individuals in need of nutrition assistance.
The Family Fun & Fit Festival is presented with additional support from the Incorporated Village of Hempstead; Glory House Recovery, Inc.; Liberty Dental Plan; the Hempstead Soccer Club; Betty’s Breast Cancer Foundation; Harmony Health Care Long Island, Power House Church, and the Sheps Law Group.
“It has been a pleasure to work alongside BlueCross BlueShield and an array of outstanding community partners to host an exciting event that delivers vital healthcare and nutrition resources directly to Hempstead residents,” Legislator Abrahams said. “I invite everyone to join us for what promises to be a wonderful day of family-friendly entertainment.”
