Eisenhower Park, NY - On May 28th, Legislator Michael Giangregorio joined with fellow Nassau County Legislators Rose Marie Walker and James Kennedy, County Executive Bruce Blakeman, State Senator Steve Rhoads, Veterans Service Agency head Ralph Esposito and numerous veterans to officially dedicate the new Iraq and Afghanistan War monuments at Eisenhower Park. The monument was paid for with donations and Capitol Funds projects.
“For too long, our veterans from the Desert Storm Offensive, the Iraqi Freedom Operation and the Afghanistan Enduring Freedom Operation have gone unheralded with their own monuments,” Legislator Giangregorio said. “I am happy to help dedicate these monuments for all our veterans who fought in these conflicts, and for those that made the ultimate sacrifice. These veterans helped promote democracy and freedom throughout the world and deserve our thanks.”
