Wantagh, NY—On May 27th Legislator Michael Giangregorio joined with Senator Steve Rhoads to attend the Eagle Court of Honor for Wantagh Senior, Milena Colaianni.
An Eagle Court of Honor is a special type of Court of Honor ceremony that is held to recognize and celebrate a Scout who has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank attainable in Scouting. The prestigious honor of achieving the rank of Eagle Scout is earned through being a LIFE Scout for at least six months, earning a minimum of 21 merit badges, demonstrating qualities of leadership, and finally planning, developing, and leading a service project.
Milena, who is an active parishioner and Altar Server at her church, designed an Eagle Scout project involved beautifying a portion of the prayer garden at the St. Frances de Chantal church in Wantagh.
“Congratulations Milena on achieving the remarkable rank of Eagle Scout,” Legislator Giangregorio said. “This is a significant accomplishment that reflects your dedication, perseverance, leadership skills, and your tireless dedication to making your community a better place. Your perseverance is inspiring and will show others that there are no limits to what you can achieve if you put your mind to it. You become a role-model for those who will come after you to emulate and shown a myriad of remarkable qualities. Congratulations Milena!”
