Legislator Mulé Partners with the Baldwin Civic Association
to Host Second ‘Music in the Park’ Concert
The event is sponsored by Ridgewood Savings Bank and Gala Fresh Farms
WHAT – As part of the “Music in the Park” summer series, Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) invites music lovers to join her at Silver Lake Park on Thursday, July 20 for a free concert in partnership with the Baldwin Civic Association and cosponsors Ridgewood Savings Bank and Gala Fresh Farms. The concert will feature musical performances by Danny Kean, an accomplished singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist and his band, the Danny Kean Trio.
Blind since birth, Danny has been performing since 1989 where “his prodigious talents and precocious personality earned him a reoccurring role on Sesame Street.” He released his first album at age 18 and soon after performed at the legendary Montreux Jazz Festival; Throughout Danny’s career he has worked with music icons such as Sam “Bluzman” Taylor, gospel great Tye Tribbett, and Lenny Kravitz’s producer, Henry Hirsch, and many more. Kean was inducted into the New York Blues Hall of Fame in 2013.
All guests are asked to bring their own chairs or blankets and their dancing shoes for a night of great music and community under the stars!
